Annndd HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEILA. Yes, I just said happy birthday to a fictional character of my own invention. Deal with it. I posted about her (and the roleplay, my writing style back then) here as my post for nerdsomewriters. I think today, to celebrate Ghost's birthday, I'm just going to embarrass the hell out of myself. I already included my first posts in that blog, I linked to my earliest writings I can find (kindergarten, yo), and I'm thinking about doing a blogtv or tinychat livecast of me reading my old LR entries. And I think Karina & Mike should come (if I do it at all) because I'll be reading theirs too. OMG THEY ARE SO BAD BUT I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Like...all the stupid stuff I wrote. Ghost must have spoken 1000 words a minute because there is no punctuation or pause in her dialogue.

So...if you ask really, really nicely, tonight after work, I will embarrass myself life on the internets. C'mon, you know you want to reminisce with me. Or laugh at us, that's fine too.

EDIT: I have to quote this. Michelle/ScarletWitch/DaniMoonstar... "NC-- Dani stop flipping out you know we almost die at least twice a day" Ohhh, win.

I was wrong. I wasn't being stalked by Taylor Swift. I mean, that's obviously crazy talk. She only stalked me the one time. Whereas Francesca Battistelli has been actively stalking me for awhile now it seems. Taylor's not as good as hiding it. I mean, I'd Lie, really? Too obvious. No...Francesca is much better than that. She's subtle (like me. I love subtlety), and writes songs like My Paper Heart, I'm Letting Go, Free to Be Me, and Someday Soon.
So this is what it's come to then. My life, summed up in an album. And duuuude, when did I become the girl in Someday Soon?! What's come over me?! This...this loooove thing. Annoying :P

Anyway, Rockford was awesome. I went to Chuck E Cheese* and had lots of fun. I found my new favorite game that I am really good at. I'm also very good at sports games, which is strange because I suck at sports. Pizza was great. Only, I made the mistake of talking about money with my aunt. Because the rest of the night she was trying to force money into my hands. It's nice that she wants to help, but it kinda crushes my pride. I was in such a good mood about that too! We went past the trailer park where I grew up and I was all "This is where I started. Life sucks now, and we're still poor, but damn, look how far I came." And then she goes and does that. So annoying! Give the money to my MOM she's the one who needs it! I am totally okay with paying for my own food and I don't pay my own insurance now, so that's totally okay with me. Yeah, I need to pay for school and medicine, but I can handle that too. I do not need her sympathy money!!


*This is where I left off for like an HOUR and completely forgot about this post while I teased Mike constantly about the Sekkrit Plot. And that was totally worth loosing all that time writing my paper. AND KARINA DON'T YOU DARE TELL HIM ANYTHING OR GIVE HINTS OR ANSWER HIS QUESTIONS. He's close enough as it is.

I'm quite sleepy, but I want to watch the end of this episode of Dr Who. If youku will cooperate with me, that is. It will play like 5-7 minutes, then freeze and I have to wait for the rest to load. Only, no matter how long I leave it to load, it will only do a little at a time. So annoying.

Work today was very slow, and the last hour or so was torture. Except that Megan's brother came in, so that was nice. He seems like a good guy, and oh my gosh they look so alike!

After work I took a nice long nap that was very much needed. Generally I can't take naps, and also shouldn't, but I really needed this one. This week has been so tiring for me. I'm so glad I get to sleep in tomorrow (we'll leave here about eleven I believe) and Monday (we'll probably go to CEC around 930, so not much sleeping in, but some).

Mike posted on ER today. Love him. Gonna wring the rest of you though, I swear. 1 month without a post? What kind of crap is that?

Probably no post here tomorrow, going out of town. We'll see if I get to post before that though. Going out to the farm for a picnic, which I always love. After that staying the night at my aunt's house. I think all my cousins will be staying the night too--I hope so! I'm bringing my laptop, I think, so that I can teach Sara the hoedown throwdown and also video record it. That should be fun. May also bring my new game, Life Twists & Turns, which I got real cheap. We may also go to my grandma's, so I dunno. Maybe we can bring the game there.
Monday morning is Chuck E Cheese, and then later on that night I have a paper to write for women's lit.

...I was unaware I had a rockford tag. I should be using that one more often.

Or at least, I should be. I'm working on it.

I've got to go work on launching "The Wasted" over on The Evolution Revolution (with the help of bebrosis).

+ Got hit with a snow storm last night, and the plows didn't come until around 1500, so there was lots on the roads when I left at 610. I took my mom's van, because the car is crap in bad weather. I was late, but not too bad. Work wasn't really bad either, all things considered.

+ My mom had my car then, because I had the van, and she messed up the front right wheel. She was turning into the library and hit some ice and slid and hit the curb. So, that sucks, but it'll be fixed next week I guess. No real damage, and it's certainly driveable. It's not even banged up as far as I can tell, so really, it's fine. I'll be driving the van until that's fixed, because I have a lot further drive than my mom ever does, what with school & going to Aurora and such.

+ At my dad's now. Also, I'm very tired, for no reason really.

+ Chris put up her first video on The Triad of Dysfunction. Jen still hasn't...looking forward to punishing her. Need to figure out with Chris how we'll decide these things...

The Writer's Block for today was to reminisce over fave summer memories and then I'm like "....uh...what did I do this summer?" So. Tomorrow (well, today, in the daylight) I will go through my LJ entries from this summer & link you to the ones I especially liked that talked about things I thought were especially awesome. And I am nothing but thorough, so I will also include a CON section, which will be...not so big I hope. There's only one in there that really matters anyway.

AND AND AND! Because I usually forget to tell people things when they are ACTUALLY AROUND. I wanted to say something to Jen, because when I went to say it to her around midnight, she had already signed off (weird). Jen, jenthepanda, I think you might be officially my best friend. I mean, there are two others who generally vy you for this position. But one of them can't count because there's a whole other category for them. And one of them...well, you beat them. And I can actually hang out with you. And you listen to me (which is why person #2 was beat out). And talk to me (which is another reason why person #1 can't count). And you're crazy, and nice, and fabulous, and I love you. So. Congratulations, Jenny, you are my best friend. :D (let's not tell Chris, hahahaha)

OMG Kyo, Shell, & I are having an emoti party thing because we're bored, right? So Kyo sends me this one that's technically 3 that makes it look like you're getting a virus. It says "downloading virus" with a progress bar. Then "virus downloaded." "accessing c drive." etc. etc. then ends with "sending virus to others" It was awesome in an incredibly evil way.

This morning I ran some errands, starting with the video store. I returned our mailings & exchanged them for "Mad Money", which was pretty good. And for the newest Avatar DVD which has the new episodes that aren't out in the US yet. I've seen them online, of course, but just the fact that they went to DVD first is appalling, this is how messed up Nick is these days. But, they're very good episodes.

Then the grocery. Then I went home to make lunch. Then I went to the library to get 2 more Naruto & 2 more FMA volumes, but since I had some time before work I went through the children's poetry & now I think I have everything I need for my poetry project. I've decided my theme for the project is poems about weather. This should be fun :)

Work wasn't so bad tonight, Katherine & James were there, so I wasn't bored. And for the longest time I was outside deadheading petunias (until Megan left & I was the only cashier), which was really really gross & I thought my hands would be stained permanently, but it washed off without too much trouble. And Katherine got me a pop from the gas station which meant I didn't have to take a break & loose out on my half hour. Except that I forgot (again!) to write "NL" on my time card like an idiot. I'll see if I can do it tomorrow, I don't want to get cheated out of a half hour I already worked.

Okay. Seriously now. Am I really this popular with guys? Am I just having a good week? Or am I paranoid? Because it's starting to weird me out a little. I'm fairly certain James likes me, but is too shy to say anything. The kid in astronomy...who knows. Tony might too, I didn't see him today, he called in sick :( (I hope he's alright!) And the random guys that were in the store today...and the mexicans who work there who are always checking me out/flirting with me (creepy much?). Maybe I'm just overly sensitive to it this week? Or paranoid. Yeah, I could be paranoid.


Hehehe. I'm so hyper right now. I fully blame Shelly & "Cake-Chan."

+ History test tomorrow. I should probably write up my report now...since I forgot about it completely until this second.

+ I read a bunch of manga today, Naruto & Ouran. I decided to just reread the entire Ouran series, plus the stuff I haven't read yet. :)

+ I'm casting the characters of The Evolution Revolution with the help of queenofspades89. It's going pretty well so far, I'll post the full list when we're all finished. I'm having trouble with Leonora mostly, and I've tried casting her before too. I just need one sort of evil looking Italian model/actress. But I have a couple possibles I guess. Natalie Portman as Ghost though, yes. XD

+ Tornado watch now. No surprise there with our late spring. But I think Summer's pretty eager to come, we've gotten into the 90s a few times this week. It's like a very hot late Spring.

Took the car to school today. Yuck. I was also 20 minutes late. Because of both of these I forgot my crate of books & such in the garage. Shoot. Shoot. Shoot. This meant I didn't have my notes & worksheets to study for the eco test today. Alma lent me some of hers just before the test to look over. I think I did okay, generally. I also didn't have my Madson book for the discussion. *sigh* My other classes it wasn't a problem, except for showing up late to lit of course.

It was so nice out today! The school was freezing, but it was really warm & comfy outside, so I ate my lunch on the patio today. I saw a family of geese! Unfortunately my mom still had my camera, so I couldn't take pictures. Later after dinner I read outside because it was actually hotter inside the house than out & it was like the perfect temp for me (mid-high 80s with a cool breeze & low humidity). It was great.

I've been reading an awful lot today. Lots of Bud, Not Buddy for class tomorrow (which I will finish reading as soon as I post this); Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane Vol 4; & Volumes 6 & 7 of Fullmetal Alchemist. Then I read part of Deathnote & I've read quite a few chapters of Naruto online (I couldn't wait for vol 5 to come in to the library).

When I got online today Mike was immediately like 'I have pictures to show you!' These being the pictures of their new dog, Layla, that he was trying to upload for me last night, but I had to go to bed. She is sooooo adorable! There's a picture of her nomnomnom-ing his hand, and one of her resting her head on his knee. Awwwwww. I love puppies...when they're someone else's. Hah. I'm not a pet person and none of you should ever allow me to have a pet because I'd be a horrible owner. I can handle people because people tell you exactly what they need & when they need it, and because people are independent. But I'm not a pet person & I'm not good about taking care of pets. I doubt I should even be allowed to have a goldfish...Pet rocks are made for people like me. I kind of want a pet rock now.
I'll just live here with all our pets, but let everyone else take care of them. And if I ever want a dog or something I'll just ask Mike for more pictures of Layla instead.

The Evolution Revolution is completely back up now! Yaaaaaaay!

In case any of you check in here for details...The Evolution Revolution is down temporarily. I checked in with proboards & it turns out they had an electrical shortage which caused a small explosion. They're allowed back into the building now & are working on everything, but nothing was lost thankfully. All servers are currently down and they're predicting service to be back up mid afternoon tomorrow.

So, we'll be back later today. Let's hope Jez can last that long. ;)

+ I'm reading through the Naruto manga, I love them :D So far it only focuses on team 7 & a little of Iruka-sensei, but hopefully it won't be long before the others show up. I'm a big fan of the secondary characters, especially the Inoshikacho team. ...I saw that on an episode & I haven't been able to call them anything except that since.

+ I started another ER fan project! Whee! This is between me & Shelly with Raph & Leonora. I love the idea she came up with, she's a freaking genius that one is. It's going to give us so much character depth! I love our little fandom we've created.

+ I kind of want to make an icon of Leonora that says "Evil does it better" or something. *dork*
