Because [info]mortal_sudoku started it & then [info]loonypants copied it & the both asked me to join in. That, and it looks like fun.
Jez's List of Things That Don't Suck )

I think maybe I'll add on to this list in the same way that Hayley G Hoover does "things that are sexy/unsexy" Because otherwise I'll never be able to stop writing on this entry.

+ I am now caught up through season 3 of Doctor Who, including the Christmas special, which was very good. I liked Astrid a lot, but I knew what was going to happen to her, but I won't say how or when I figured it out for fear of spoiling people. Like Gaby who should watch it.
+ I watched the very first episode of X-Men: Evolution today with Mike, that was lots of fun. He just found out that Marvel has all of the episodes online now. :D
+ Work was kind of fun today. Faye left early, and wasn't there until I was leaving in the morning. Becca was covering for Shirley all day, and Megs was there too! Yay! The team of Megs, Bex, & I is kind of crazy, but we get the job done and have fun while doing it! I made up a letterhead in notepad for Megan today, and I felt like I was working for the realtor again. Wasn't nearly as bad though.
+ Go read Toni's blog on "bad ass females" on [info]nerdsomewriters. Is very good.

I'm gonna work on my novel now & then fall asleep. Sleep may come before much work gets done.

Random stuff on mah mind.

+ I still don't want to take piano, but I'm warming up to the idea. I'll find out for sure how I like it on Monday.
+ I really need a day off.
+ I love Liam.
+ I have been seriously geeking out today. I fangirlled over Warlock coming back to New Mutants, got really sad when I realized that Doug wasn't & that there wouldn't be any Douglock, I read a bunch of comics, discussed Batgirl a little with Mike, downloaded some Better Off Ted for my iPod, downloaded & watched "Mac Daddy" from Foster's for my iPod, answered philosophical questions with Spongebob references, and now I'm making a sekrit project for Hilary involving A Very Potter Musical
+ I watched more Doctor Who. Gonna finish up that 3-parter in a little bit here, hopefully
+ About to watch vloglovers ^_^
+ FINALLY watched "Do You Wanna Date My Avatar?" and it was awesome. Loved it. And it is now stuck in my head.

I LIKE CEREAL.

What Karina just said to me, not 2 seconds ago.

Thursday
+ Took my exam, got a C. B for the class!
+ Picked up Karina/[info]queenofspades89 at the airport!!
+ Ate White Castle. Reminded why I never eat there.
+ Saw Harry Potter 6 again!! K & I took my brothers. I love that movie, so very, very much. Possibly my fave in the set.
+ Eat at Chili's. Reminded why I love Chili's
+ Chris, Crystal, & Jen invite themselves over. I managed not to kill them.

Friday
+ I turned 20! Dang, I'm old.
+ Chris, Karina, & I go downtown for the day!
+ Pick up tickets for Spring Awakening
+ Take a tour on a trolley around town
+ Free chocolate bar at the Hershey's store! I still have the majority of mine left, actually.
+ Eat dinner at Union Station -- Pizza Hut. Yummy
+ SKYDECK. THE LEDGE WAS FREAKING AMAZING. OMG.
+ Rush to the theatre, thinking we're late, only to find out we're very early. Had the time wrong.
+ Get free popcorn at Garrett's! More reasons why the tour is the greatest way to see the city.
+ Spring Awakening!! Like I told Gabs: "Very good, very inappropriate" Fabulous though. The set was gorgeous & awesome & I want my room decorated like that.
+ Drive home. Chris slept over that night.

Saturday
+ Bring Chris home
+ Head downtown with Kayla & Karina. Spend like 30 minutes going crazy, cursing Lollapalooza, & eventually finding a place to park at Soldier Field. Not the best part of the day.
+ Shedd Aquarium. We got to feel all special because we're members. OTTERS! The otters were real cute. The beluga whales were kinda cool too.
+ Walk to Navy Pier. Not exactly close, but do-able
+ Spend some time on the Pier, get shakes at McDonald's (and why is it that prices are always higher on the Pier?)
+ Take a water taxi back to the Shedd. "Water taxis: they're like taxis on the water!" That was the ad slogan. And it was the best part of the day. So much fun! We sat at the front & got all wet. We have random video from this leg of the trip
+ "Hummus, in your tummus, it's so yummus!" - Random guy giving out free hummus
+ Go home
+ Karina & I make a deal: 2 hours of Torchwood for A Very Potter Musical. Both are freaking fantastic. "Hufflepuffs are great finders!" "Pigfarts" (and Rumbleroar) We didn't get to the other epi of Torchwood because it was very late by that point.

Sunday
+ Go to my dad's house for my birthday party
+ Spend a lot of time there watching Saving Private Ryan
+ I got to see my favorite little monster!! She's sooooo cute. I love her new haircut, it makes her look even cuter!
+ Tanya made me super delicious lasagne! She even sent me home with some :D
+ Brownies were like...not brownie-shaped? We scooped them out with spoons, but even so, they were good!
+ Cindy, Steve, Mischief, & Mayhem gave me a cute green top & scarf
+ Kris & Korrie gave me a $25 B&N gift card & a really funny card
+ All the sibs made me cards too :D
+ Go home
+ Watch the end of Sense & Sensibility with my mom. Completely miss the point.
+ Watch Doctor Who on tv! I had no idea this showed on that channel but WIN. It was the very first episode with Martha.
+ Watch episode 2 of Torchwood.
+ Write this!

Okay, there, all caught up now. On with your lives.

I got my season 1 dvd set of Doctor Who a few days ago, and I'm just now watching some of it. I'm introducing my brother to the series, since he loves sci-fi like I do. I've forgotten how freaky "Rose" is. I hate mannequins to begin with. But oh my goodness I love the ninth Doctor. He is such win. All carefree & cheery. Loooovvvveeee it.

Spoiler told me today I'm part of the twitter family & that's reason enough to crash the party. That no one would dare throw me out. I love this girl! She's also trying to follow Hil on twitter in a crazed attempt to get us both killed apparently. She seems to think that me being dead will help her win, but little does she know, Hilary will kill us BOTH before either of us can win. Cept I can't ever win, other than not loosing. So I'm already winning? idk.
Anyway, it would appear that I am going dateless to the twitter reception tomorrow night, in between bouts of studying. I've promised to attempt to teach everyone the Hoedown Throwdown, but I don't know how well I'll do with out Steph with me!

Finally updated my trackings for this year! I think I'm still missing lots, but here's what I have so far. And yes, I have watched a lot of 6teen, Doctor Who, & Static Shock lately, I love them all!

Lizz of Sister Salad did a live show on blogtv today & it was great! I friended one of the other girls on twitter already, haha. Oh, and we had fun messing with haters. One of them we all spoke foreign languages just to confuse them. Lizz spoke french, and I spoke Italian, while others spoke German, Swedish, Spanish, & Latin. Lots of fun! I swear someone said they like the autobus. And I was all "Tu viaggi con le autobus? Che?!" It was fun :D
Oh! And Lizz plugged Triad of Dysfunction for me. She's so great!

Right now I'm putting together a CD for my dad for father's day, so if you know of any good songs that would fit in with the theme of fatherhood, or could possibly maybe work (or even just songs I'd like haha) leave it in the comments!
So far I have...
The Best Day by Taylor Swift (the song that inspired me to make the list)
Drive by Alan Jackson
Song for Dad by Keith Urban (actually, I have to listen to this one still, I just tossed it on because of the title)
Ready, Set, Don't Go by Billy Ray Cyrus
Little Mr. Roo by Carly Simon (this goes more for motherhood, but I was just trying to throw whatever on here)

On the subject of music I just downloaded Skillet's new song "Hero" and Joy William's new one, "One of Those Days" both of which are AMAZING and have been stuck in my head for days. I love them both so very much. "Hero" would be a good Logan's Run song methinks. I get to see Skillet in a month, and I really hope they play this song!! Ignite is going to be freaking awesome this year, one of the best lineups I've seen in awhile!

I'm still a bit sick. I mean, I'm functionable & all, and getting much better, but my stomach still bothers me a little, I have a fever (not the Super Horrible I'm Burning Up Someone Save Me Fever or the FUNFEVAHs I usually get. Just, warm, nothing else), and I get just the tiniest bit lightheaded when I stand up. Which, by the way, is normal, it just doesn't go away, which is not normal.

So here's what I did with my sick day!
I went to school. Which was really empty and kind of freaky. I (and Murph agrees) think it's because today was the first day without rain in 3 weeks. It is sunny and beautiful and people probably wanted to just sleep in & then enjoy the day! I don't blame them.
So, my English class was probably missing 1/3rd of the girls (we only have one guy in the class, and he was there).
In Italian, it was just me. This sounds so much more dramatic when I say it that way, haha. When you think about there only being three girls to start with, it's not so impressive. And we knew Lupe would be gone, because she's been in Nashville all weekend for a big country music festival. But Gino & I decided to have class anyway! And we got a LOT done! I now know how to say things in past tense and also some more travel stuff. But OMG this construction stuff is driving me CRAZY. Today there were some guys working on the roof right outside our window. Meaning there was only glass between us & the super loud noises of Progress™. It got so bad that we decided we needed to relocate. We found an empty classroom down the hall away from the noise, and we spent the last hour there. Pretty much the entire building has been vacated except for us. It started out that T building was full because all the classes from J had to relocate but when work in J was done, they moved back. Now we're alone in T with the noise. So infuriating! I'll be happy to be out of main campus in 2 weeks. There's no construction at north campus & everything's done over at Trinity.
Art class lasted all of 1.5 hours. That's like less than half what it's supposed to be. We blew through 2 chapters so that we could all go outside & enjoy the sun we've been so deprived of.

ANYWAY. Here's the short version:
+ Women's Lit
+ Italian. Just me.
+ Art
+ Housesitting for Chris. Okay, who thinks its weird that one of my jobs there is to spray her moss?
+ Watch Gaby's SUPER AMAZING AND TOTALLY ADORABLE video. [info]nerdsomewriters GO NOW. See her make a SAFT (well, the food equivalent of the SAFT) and make us SUPER COOL OPENINGS that you will see me use tomorrow.
+ Watch 2 episodes of Static Shock: Flashback & Gear. Yes, I watched them out of order. The theme was "Gear"
+ Make something Totally Awesome for someone who has truly proved her worth. It involves stickers, so yay.
+ Watch 6teen (just finished Unhappy Anniversary. The ending was so sad! I want to give Jonesy a big hug)

Plans for the rest of the night include:
+ Eating the chicken parmagiana my mom was supposed to make yesterday but rescheduled. She made it for me cuz I'm sick, so I guess it's still okay?
+ Watch more 6teen. I'm thinking maybe marathon?
+ Watch Dr Who
+ At some point read my assignment for WW
+ Maybe pull out my XME dvds after that. I'm thinking a Jamie theme? Joyride, Mindbender, Growing Pains, Self-Possessed, & Cruise Control? Sounds good to me! Though in sequential order, because you have to watch Growing Pains first.

When I'm coherent again (so...after exams probably) I'll write reviews for Shrinking Violet (which was OMG AMAZING) & 20 Boy Summer (also amazing, but in a totally unexpected way)

(the funny thing is I'm serious)
It went something like this...
How many software programmers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
None. That's a hardware problem.

I find it really funny :D

Anyway, today was great. Except the being late thing, cuz...I hate being late. I fell asleep after my alarm again. But dang I needed that extra 20!
In English, despite being late, I shined early & she forgave me quickly. And then I got to geek out over Emily Dickinson. "What do you guys thing about her?" "I have no idea what she's saying most of the time" "Well I think she's bloody brilliant."
Italian was fun. I read off my essay that I wrote yesterday & only had a few minor errors. Most of which I found myself while reading through it. I really should proof-read things.
After school I stopped by the shop and picked up X-Factor, Pride & Prejudice, & Red Robin. I read X-Factor and liked it much (and uh...dang, Monet), and also Red Robin which was very interesting. I haven't read P&P yet though. It's so weird to just be a customer some times. But, I'm not just any customer anymore, and I never will be again. And that's even stranger, really. Oh well.
It's been real quiet here tonight, and I like that. Mugs has finally settled down & now I think he's just pouting. No longer rebelling though, thank God. I updated my computer & then spent a lot of time just listening to music. I have such love for Lady Gaga, Fergie, & Miley Cyrus tonight. I went to dinner at Taco Bell, which always seems so close until I drive there. Whatevs, it was tasty.
Talked to my mum about next week, and how we're getting there, what time to arrive, & where to park, all that fun stuff. I'm so excited!!! I realized earlier on the way back from LP that it was only 1 week left--exactly--and I squealed. And then I laughed at myself. So, this is an awesome early birthday present. And even better, if all goes well, I'll have a very special visitor on my birthday too!! (btw K, I was wrong, I work that Weds after--I forgot about my other job, oops)

My plans for the night were as follows: read comics, eat dinner, watch some Who, shower, & write something for CT. So far I've done the first three & I shall now continue with the rest of the list!

I'm quite sleepy, but I want to watch the end of this episode of Dr Who. If youku will cooperate with me, that is. It will play like 5-7 minutes, then freeze and I have to wait for the rest to load. Only, no matter how long I leave it to load, it will only do a little at a time. So annoying.

Work today was very slow, and the last hour or so was torture. Except that Megan's brother came in, so that was nice. He seems like a good guy, and oh my gosh they look so alike!

After work I took a nice long nap that was very much needed. Generally I can't take naps, and also shouldn't, but I really needed this one. This week has been so tiring for me. I'm so glad I get to sleep in tomorrow (we'll leave here about eleven I believe) and Monday (we'll probably go to CEC around 930, so not much sleeping in, but some).

Mike posted on ER today. Love him. Gonna wring the rest of you though, I swear. 1 month without a post? What kind of crap is that?

Probably no post here tomorrow, going out of town. We'll see if I get to post before that though. Going out to the farm for a picnic, which I always love. After that staying the night at my aunt's house. I think all my cousins will be staying the night too--I hope so! I'm bringing my laptop, I think, so that I can teach Sara the hoedown throwdown and also video record it. That should be fun. May also bring my new game, Life Twists & Turns, which I got real cheap. We may also go to my grandma's, so I dunno. Maybe we can bring the game there.
Monday morning is Chuck E Cheese, and then later on that night I have a paper to write for women's lit.

...I was unaware I had a rockford tag. I should be using that one more often.

+ Slept in.
+ Went to work with wet hair. Didn't matter, it was raining anyway. Not that I'd really care.
+ Rearranged the UglyDoll, Tokidoki, & Sanrio displays at work. Mine looks soooo much better. It's what they pay me for. *nods*
+ Dusted with a rainbow foot-long feather duster (that really doesn't work all that well)
+ Created a display for Terminator. Juxtaposed it nicely next to the UglyDolls.
+ Broke like 20 something boxes
+ Ate 2 tacos
+ Read half of the first Young Avengers graphic novel
+ Talked to a guy I haven't seen since high school, got on better with his girlfriend than I did him.
+ Sold a Phoenix statue
+ Signed for a package
+ Created like 10 packages, addressed those plus 5 more.
+ Eventually drove home in the rain
+ Watched the 2-hour Grey's Anatomy finale
+ Got annoyed with my mum
+ At 2140 finally started dinner. Pizza pockets.
+ Watched some Dr Who
+ Became a part of #LOFNOTC
+ Wrote this

I am now...waiting for MegaVideo to let me watch the end of my show.

Why?

+ Woke up to a text from Gaby. Amazingly only about 10 minutes after she sent it.
+ Remembered to take my medicine (it's sad that I need to put this on here)
+ Got out of theatre class early (5 minutes, but enough time to run to the caf!)
+ Got myself one of the best tasting peanut butter cookies ever. Yummy.
+ Psychology was fun and funny. Somehow we got on the topic of call girls? "He got up there and said "I'm not here to talk about copulation prices." He meant the population crisis."
+ Got out of psychology early too!
+ Sold back some of my books (only 2 so far, forgot the anthro book at home oops!)
+ Pasta salad for lunch (I'm pathetic I know...mostly I didn't want to cook)
+ Watched Jenny's Nerdwriter video. She's so cute. You should all follow her (frogswhatfrogs)
+ Watched an episode of Dr Who before work
+ I GOT FRIENDED BY SUSAN PATRON ON FACEBOOK CUZ SHE SAW MY REVIEW FROM LAST NIGHT AND REALLY LIKED IT SO SHE LOOKED ME UP. OMGOMGOMGOMG I LOVE HER!!!! /crazyfangirl
+ Got some Dr Pepper to have at work. Yay caffeine!
+ Matt and Kevin came in today! What a great surprise!
+ I got to see all my favorite customers except for Mr. Johnson. But I never really get to see him.
+ Left work halfway early
+ Got New Mutants #1 today! WHOOOOOT. EXCITED. No Doug, but I'll live, I guess. Then again, if he were alive my continuum would be all thrown off & then who would Ghost preach about, huh?
+ Left over chicken & cheese for dinner
+ Recorded Hoedown Throwdown for a video tomorrow. (Though I shouldn't have done it on a full stomach)
+ I found State of Grace episodes online!!! The third part of the first episode was attacked by the YT audiotrack peoples, so that was a bust, but still, I'm happy even just to watch the first 2/3rds. I MISS THIS SHOW A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT, OKAYZ? Awwwwwww lil Mae Whitman & Alia Shawkat were so freaking adorable. "You tried to kill me. We don't do that at The Pines. Sincerely, Grace McKee." & "Happy Yom Kippur y'all!" lol
+ I met my dad at Hollywood Blvd and saw Wolverine with him! ***SPOILERS***The movie was pretty good so long as you ignore the comics. Still...I loved Gambit. What's really weird is how much I loved Wade in the beginning. He was so awesome! AND YAAAAAY GAMBIT. wtf Xavier walking? When he meets Scott? And Emma & Scott meeting first? Gah, my canon! But my favorite part by far is the beginning, but after the kids. The kids was my least favorite part. The wars was awesome, and so was the team (Wade!) pulling jobs.
+ At the theatre, I had ice cream and didn't get sick!! I couldn't finish it, but I let my dad do that. Still, I ate about 3/4ths on my own, AND it had chocolate syrup. I'm very happy. :)
+ Then when I got home I remembered the discussion boards for theatre close today and I got my last post in before it did! Yaaaaay full credit!

Now I'm going to read my email & my comic, then go to bed. Work in the morning, blah.

I also got my books for summer today, most of them anyway, they won't sell me my bio book yet because it's for 3rd session. Selling back my spring books tomorrow! Well, the theatre, anthropology, & microsoft ones anyway. My italian book I need for 111, and also for me. Theatre I'm selling to Lupe cheap.

I'm also seeing Wolverine with my dad tomorrow night after work! We're meeting up in Woodridge, which is about halfway between us, so that should be fun. :)
