See, the reason I loved summer school so much is that I was taking my finals about the time that I begin to simply become overloaded & my brain shuts down. I can survive until those finals. But in the regular school year, this time is just before midterms and I don't have that simple fix-all cure that is knowing that I am almost done. I am not almost done. I am almost half done. This is going to kill me.
My brain has seriously shut down. My spelling is positively atrocious; if I didn't have auto-spellcheck on here, this would be extremely hard to read. Trust me...I have done really really stupid things. And I can't find words I'm looking for. Today in the Othello opening discussion I pulled out my copy of Let it Snow to look up a word that I could not think of. I am forgetting important events and assignment dates. I just want to sleep.
So, I am going to do my interview thing tomorrow. She can yell at me if she wants, but I just need some time to recoup. So I am going into college-mind detox. I will spend the night watching The Emperor's New Groove while discussing/fanning/quoting obsessively with Mike over MSN. I will read the rest of the John Green section of Let it Snow, which is some of the funniest stuff I have read in a LONG time. If the Duke and Tobin do not get together I will even stoop so low as to write fanfiction for them where Duke tells JP all about Billy, but how she really just wants to be with Tobin, but how Tobin doesn't think of her that way. I need these two to be together. NEED.
If I am still in need of some more detoxing I will watch Potter Puppet Pals & Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.
So...yeah. I hate school. My brain is eated.
Also: White Sox are out of the playoffs :( :( :( I kind of saw this coming, but still, it's disappointing. Still, we didn't get swept like some other team I can think of.
On the upside of things, I found out that 2 days before John Green shows up at Anderson's, Cornelia Funke will be there. I will drive straight from work to get there to see her and get her to sign my copy of Inkdeath (or should it be Inkheart?) and I will do everything in my power to get Casye a signed copy of Inkdeath as a very early birthday present. I will kidnap
jenthepanda to stand in line with me to get that signature if needbe (well, she lives across the street basically).
