Reason #1 to watch out for Lupe, lol.
She's reading The Art of Seduction and telling us about it. She told Ashley & me that everyone has a seduction type and she can already tell what ours are. But she refuses to tell us!! Not fair! She's such a tease :P
And also Ashley is engaged. After class we had a good talk outside about love at first sight not existing. I love when she said "it was love at first text!" haha. Oh I love my italiano amici.

When I got out of class I called [info]jenthepanda and warned her that I was coming. We mostly just hung out in her dorm for the first hour or so. We watched the weather channel and made fun of pronunciation and clothing choices. I'd like to say that we are bad people, but the truth of the matter is that we're totally pathetic people, haha.
After that Jen showed me around Wentz and then went to some vocal rehearsal. I drove over to Anderson's because I had a coupon for 20% off everything in the store that expired today. I had gone in hopes of finding a signed copy of Three Willows left over from when Ann Brashares was there, but no such luck. I did find a signed copy of Diary of a Wimpy Kid that I really wanted, but it was a teensy bit expensive.
So I walked out with an unsigned Three Willows, A Swiftly Tilting Planet by Madeleine L'Engle, and a paperback copy of The Higher Power of Lucky. I have been waiting AGES for the paperback to come out. $18 is too much for a book with only 134 pages, but $5.60? Not bad at all!
I also found out that they twitter, and I just started following them a few minutes ago, haha. Another cool thing they're doing now is that if you have your own bag to carry your books out in, they make a donation to the food pantry. Lucky me I had my green bag because I had Italian class today! And they all fit perfectly! Yaaaay!

I went back to Wentz and sat in a very comfy reading area for awhile reading The Higher Power of Lucky and then I went to go watch the last 20 minutes of Jen's rehearsal. It was pretty fun, the song they were doing was very amusing.

After that we both went to my dad's house for dinner. I showed her the new house & the puppy and all that fun stuff. Dinner was great: chicken, mashed potatoes, corn (have I mentioned that I absolutely adore canned corn? I'm weird like that), and biscuits. So yummy!
The kids all had on shower caps because of a lice treatment. It's been almost a week now, but we aren't taking any chances. Still: super gross.
Didn't stop them from terrorizing Jen though. I still say it's her fault for goading them on like that. And for giving them things. You don't give a 7 year old ANYTHING. Especially Victoria. They will not stop asking you for things or trying to simply take them from you. This is the reason Mike would not trade me his stepsisters for my sister! Even though it was a 2 for 1 deal!

Then I went home & did my Nerdwriter post like a good little girl. Today I talked about how I think children's literature is better than adult literature. Go read it! [info]nerdsomewriters

Also: I just really wanted to use this icon. It's so freaking cute! I colored it from the strip that was posted a few days ago. I am really loving the current story arc with Fuchsia and Criminy. SO CUTE.
