+ DUDES. I GOT ACCEPTED INTO TRINITY TODAY. FOR REALZ. My counsellor called me at lunch & we talked for a bit & then he was like "Yeah, I'm just gonna sign off on this now & get you accepted" and I was like "OMG THANK YOU." Hehe. I called my mom first, then send a message to twitter & cc-ed my dad. Within like 2 minutes I got 3 text messages & one call. All of which I didn't hear because my phone was on my furry notebook (yeah...I have one of those, a little one I use for book quotes). And I keep getting them! Yay! Thanks everybody!
(and I love the way Lia said this: "I could tell this was a joyous event because of her blogs and because the tweet was written in caps.")

+ When I was like 30 seconds late for MSOffice today I used the excuse "I was on the phone with my transfer counsellor" "And...?" "And I got accepted!" and then that distracted him & we talked about me being an English major and stuff. We talked about how neither of us were athletic in high school & I mentioned being on the SkillsUSA team two years running. He was like "wait right here" and I was like "Uh...okaaaay..." (seeing as how I was in class, haha). He comes back and tells me that even though registration for the web competition at school was supposed to close on Friday, the website was still accepting applications. So I applied. Not sure why, seeing as how I'm so bogged down and busy already, but I think I can do this. Should be fun! We'll see how I do, gotta make Mrs. W proud!!

+ I didn't want to go home right away after school (mostly because I left my sunglasses at dad's house & am blind without them...oops) so I went to the cafeteria and Rachel was there! Yaaaaaaay! I miss her so much! I never get to see her, so it was exciting for both of us. We talked about manga, and friends, and YouTube. She watches all of my videos on ObsessiveJez and on Triad of Dysfunction, so that's fun. :D

+ I am so weak! My mother asked me to stop at the library and pick up a book for my brother for school and I ended up grabbing A Wind in the Door by Madeleine L'Engle (the next book in the Time Quintet), even though I already have Stravaganza: City of Secrets out and have Alexander Cold: Island of the Pygmies on hold. ...AND on top of that I looked to see if they had The Higher Power of Lucky in, and I've read that one before (and loved it to death). I hope I can read these all before they're due!

Mom invited my sisters along to the museum tomorrow. I is not happy. Why do my parents keep doing this to me?!

In other news, one of my sisters gave me a cold. I'm willing to blame Kayla, as she gave it to everyone else...then again, Aubrey sneezed in my face, but I don't think she's actually sick, it was just gross. And the second time it was on purpose. Nasty lil bugger :P

So, I still have not finished A Wrinkle in Time, nor have I finished Mini-Marvels Vol 2. And what do I do? I go on my library's webpage and put 2 books on hold. Why, I do not know. I have a problem. I love to read.

I put on hold:
Stravaganza: City of Secrets by Mary Hoffman. I simply adore City of Masks, it's one of my favorite books of all time and one of the key pieces of inspiration for The Elementist. I was not a fan of City of Stars, but I liked City of Flowers well enough. I like Sky at least, although I despise Georgia (probably why those are my preferences for those two books). Cover for this one is odd, imo, compared to the others.
Forest of the Pygmies by Isabel Allende. This is the 3rd Alexander Cold book and I love the other two and I miss neurotic lil Alex and awesometastic Nadia. I'm glad I thought to search for this one.

I should probably be reading now to finish up those others...plus Kelly's got me wanting to read the old Evo comics. And I've been wanting for weeks to re-read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares. That reminds me, I realllllllyyy want to put a hold on 3 Willows by Ann Brashares...but I should wait. Because I have 2 books coming and I would like to read the Pants Quartet over again before starting on the next book.

YAY FOR NO SCHOOL TOMORROW. Work still, but hopefully not for very long!

Also: check out my new background. Awesome, innit?
