Finally updated my trackings for this year! I think I'm still missing lots, but here's what I have so far. And yes, I have watched a lot of 6teen, Doctor Who, & Static Shock lately, I love them all!

Lizz of Sister Salad did a live show on blogtv today & it was great! I friended one of the other girls on twitter already, haha. Oh, and we had fun messing with haters. One of them we all spoke foreign languages just to confuse them. Lizz spoke french, and I spoke Italian, while others spoke German, Swedish, Spanish, & Latin. Lots of fun! I swear someone said they like the autobus. And I was all "Tu viaggi con le autobus? Che?!" It was fun :D
Oh! And Lizz plugged Triad of Dysfunction for me. She's so great!

Right now I'm putting together a CD for my dad for father's day, so if you know of any good songs that would fit in with the theme of fatherhood, or could possibly maybe work (or even just songs I'd like haha) leave it in the comments!
So far I have...
The Best Day by Taylor Swift (the song that inspired me to make the list)
Drive by Alan Jackson
Song for Dad by Keith Urban (actually, I have to listen to this one still, I just tossed it on because of the title)
Ready, Set, Don't Go by Billy Ray Cyrus
Little Mr. Roo by Carly Simon (this goes more for motherhood, but I was just trying to throw whatever on here)

On the subject of music I just downloaded Skillet's new song "Hero" and Joy William's new one, "One of Those Days" both of which are AMAZING and have been stuck in my head for days. I love them both so very much. "Hero" would be a good Logan's Run song methinks. I get to see Skillet in a month, and I really hope they play this song!! Ignite is going to be freaking awesome this year, one of the best lineups I've seen in awhile!

I'm still a bit sick. I mean, I'm functionable & all, and getting much better, but my stomach still bothers me a little, I have a fever (not the Super Horrible I'm Burning Up Someone Save Me Fever or the FUNFEVAHs I usually get. Just, warm, nothing else), and I get just the tiniest bit lightheaded when I stand up. Which, by the way, is normal, it just doesn't go away, which is not normal.

So here's what I did with my sick day!
I went to school. Which was really empty and kind of freaky. I (and Murph agrees) think it's because today was the first day without rain in 3 weeks. It is sunny and beautiful and people probably wanted to just sleep in & then enjoy the day! I don't blame them.
So, my English class was probably missing 1/3rd of the girls (we only have one guy in the class, and he was there).
In Italian, it was just me. This sounds so much more dramatic when I say it that way, haha. When you think about there only being three girls to start with, it's not so impressive. And we knew Lupe would be gone, because she's been in Nashville all weekend for a big country music festival. But Gino & I decided to have class anyway! And we got a LOT done! I now know how to say things in past tense and also some more travel stuff. But OMG this construction stuff is driving me CRAZY. Today there were some guys working on the roof right outside our window. Meaning there was only glass between us & the super loud noises of Progress™. It got so bad that we decided we needed to relocate. We found an empty classroom down the hall away from the noise, and we spent the last hour there. Pretty much the entire building has been vacated except for us. It started out that T building was full because all the classes from J had to relocate but when work in J was done, they moved back. Now we're alone in T with the noise. So infuriating! I'll be happy to be out of main campus in 2 weeks. There's no construction at north campus & everything's done over at Trinity.
Art class lasted all of 1.5 hours. That's like less than half what it's supposed to be. We blew through 2 chapters so that we could all go outside & enjoy the sun we've been so deprived of.

ANYWAY. Here's the short version:
+ Women's Lit
+ Italian. Just me.
+ Art
+ Housesitting for Chris. Okay, who thinks its weird that one of my jobs there is to spray her moss?
+ Watch Gaby's SUPER AMAZING AND TOTALLY ADORABLE video. [info]nerdsomewriters GO NOW. See her make a SAFT (well, the food equivalent of the SAFT) and make us SUPER COOL OPENINGS that you will see me use tomorrow.
+ Watch 2 episodes of Static Shock: Flashback & Gear. Yes, I watched them out of order. The theme was "Gear"
+ Make something Totally Awesome for someone who has truly proved her worth. It involves stickers, so yay.
+ Watch 6teen (just finished Unhappy Anniversary. The ending was so sad! I want to give Jonesy a big hug)

Plans for the rest of the night include:
+ Eating the chicken parmagiana my mom was supposed to make yesterday but rescheduled. She made it for me cuz I'm sick, so I guess it's still okay?
+ Watch more 6teen. I'm thinking maybe marathon?
+ Watch Dr Who
+ At some point read my assignment for WW
+ Maybe pull out my XME dvds after that. I'm thinking a Jamie theme? Joyride, Mindbender, Growing Pains, Self-Possessed, & Cruise Control? Sounds good to me! Though in sequential order, because you have to watch Growing Pains first.

When I'm coherent again (so...after exams probably) I'll write reviews for Shrinking Violet (which was OMG AMAZING) & 20 Boy Summer (also amazing, but in a totally unexpected way)

Right now I'm listening to FM Static non-stop for 3 reasons: 1) They are my favorite band. 2) Get pumped for the new cd! NEXT WEEK. I hope mine shows up the day it comes out. 3) To get on the FM Static's Top Listeners list on LastFM. I am pathetic, but I don't care

Mrah, sleepy. Headed to bed soon.

+ Saw Ashley S today. Forgot she went to JuCo. I guess she's not there very much, but she was today because her dad had to drive her & she was waiting for him to pick her up. Talked with her for about 20 minutes. I haven't talked to her since high school, but it didn't feel weird at all. I mean, we were never especially close, but we were comfortable, so it all works out. Neither of us has really talked to Brina though, which is sad.

+ Dr says blood work came back okay. Mom tried to pick up the results & they were all "OMG NO YOU NEED THE FORM" which is the form I filled out yesterday. That's annoying. Going to try to remember to get it tomorrow on my...wait for it...BREAK. I told Joe I'm not working Thursdays anymore. I stayed late tonight to make up for it, but at least I get my 4 hours all to myself tomorrow!

+ We barely discussed All My Sons, but I guess there's a discussion board we need to participate in on ANGEL. So, there's that. And the quiz today went okay except I couldn't remember the name of Ann's father. It's not my fault he's not actually *IN* the play. So, I missed one question, but I got the extra credit, so that should be good.

+ Haha, I totally schooled my teacher today in psych. And it was even better because I had been dozing off and not paying attention at all up until about that time. It was good.

+ I JUST BARELY finished my MS Office work before the end of the class. Like, our assignments aren't due until Friday, but we don't have class that day & I hate staying in the lab to do stuff (because I don't have office 07). So yay no extra class time! It was funny though, because there was one paragraph we had to type up from the book and I'm typing and Mr. Wagner comes over & is like "You know you're typing so fast it's kind of a distraction" and I"m like "Uh...sorry?" He started asking me how fast I type & if I'd ever been clocked and where I learned and stuff. I'm just like "Um...7th grade. And I type a lot." MSN BABY lol.

+ Work was good, but quiet. I don't know why. I managed to get my hands on two copies of the 2nd printing of the Barack/Spidey comic, so that was good. Also picked up Young X-Men & Runaways, which I will read on my break tomorrow because I'm tired now.

6TEEN MARATHON CONTINUES TOMORROW. I AM SUCH AN ADDICT. Pretty soon I will write fic...or worse...read it! GASP :P
Bed now, really.
Just wanted to say bloodwork was okay & I don't have a thyroid problem. but OMG I have the biggest nastiest bruise where they drew blood. Gross!

Today in Italian we learned numbers and then he mentioned a simple math problem and we were all over it. I think Ashley, Matt, & I are in love with Italian math. This is how I am going to study my numbers, lol. We also learned dates and stuff, so now I know how to say when my birthday is (and omg it's so long to say).

What I Did Tonight
1. Twitter, flist, check email obsessively, MSN with Casye, Facebook, Lunch Bag Art, etc.
2. Watch 2 episodes of 6teen on YouTube. Begin to wonder about Jude's ahem, preferences.
3. Eat dinner
4. Watch a 3rd episode of 6teen
5. Read Chapter 3 of Maureen Johnson's Badger Journals on her blog.
6. Eventually get around to reading All My Sons by Arthur Miller, on which I am to be tested in the morning. Finish it all in one sitting while drinking hot chocolate. Wonder why everyone is crazy in dramas.
7. Search YouTube for stuff like this and this.
7B. Share links with Mike. Become jealous that he has 16GB of that stuff on his hard drive. :P
8. Finally get around to posting on LJ (though I did blog about day names & books over on [info]nerdsomewriters)

In 2008 I did this tracking thing & it was fun! I missed some, but oh well. Counting only the ones I actually wrote down, I read 198 books (including comics & manga) and watched 147 movies. This is kind of cool because the challenge was 50 each. This year I'm making comics a separate category, because there's a lot of those, what with me working in a comic shop & all.

Movies )

I ended up cutting this part out last year, but let's try this again
