Annndd HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEILA. Yes, I just said happy birthday to a fictional character of my own invention. Deal with it. I posted about her (and the roleplay, my writing style back then) here as my post for nerdsomewriters. I think today, to celebrate Ghost's birthday, I'm just going to embarrass the hell out of myself. I already included my first posts in that blog, I linked to my earliest writings I can find (kindergarten, yo), and I'm thinking about doing a blogtv or tinychat livecast of me reading my old LR entries. And I think Karina & Mike should come (if I do it at all) because I'll be reading theirs too. OMG THEY ARE SO BAD BUT I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Like...all the stupid stuff I wrote. Ghost must have spoken 1000 words a minute because there is no punctuation or pause in her dialogue.

So...if you ask really, really nicely, tonight after work, I will embarrass myself life on the internets. C'mon, you know you want to reminisce with me. Or laugh at us, that's fine too.

EDIT: I have to quote this. Michelle/ScarletWitch/DaniMoonstar... "NC-- Dani stop flipping out you know we almost die at least twice a day" Ohhh, win.

Mom dragged me out of bed at about 8 and I drove her to work because her van was in the shop. Then I went back home and went back to bed for another couple hours. That was the best part about the day: SLEEP. I got quite a bit of it and for the first time in a long time I work up rested. It was beautiful. Unfortunately when I woke up I realized I didn't have a tonne of time to get ready for work...and I had my laptop next to me and checked email/twitter/LJ first :P

Joe hadn't been expecting me until 3:30, which was a little disappointing because then I could have showered, taken longer to do laundry, and all that fun stuff, but whatev. I packed up about 20 packages and then Joe took them to the post office for me because he had to go home and let his dogs out for awhile, get lunch, etc. I ran the store for the larger part of the day, really. He was gone most of the day because then later he had to pick up his wife from the airport. Her flight got delayed, so since I don't have a key or anything, he called Chuck in to close up. That should make my mother happy, knowing I wasn't there alone so late.

I had to go take all of our toys out of overstock and make a big ole list of what all we had. And OMG we had SO MANY. Then I had to walk around the store checking to see if anything could be put out on the shelves and I was able to put out about 5 things. After that I got to call all the other stores and try to convince them to take some things off our hands. CCMike was very good about that and took about half of the things. I guess novelty stuff like that sells very well in Cal. The other two stores took about 5 things each, so overall we got rid of a fair amount, though we still have a lot. There are now 4 full boxes sitting on the back issue bin and I'd hate to be whoever has to bring them to the stores (sorry CBMike!)

I get home and the main page of ER reminds me that it's Ray's birthday and I'm like "eh...should I message her? I haven't talked to her in 4 years...yeah okay I'll do it" and I do and I scare the carp out of her lol. She was like " I don't know who you are or how you know my birthday omg!" and I had to tell her who I was and then she was like "YOU! I REMEMBER YOU! AWESOME!" and we talked about the old days.
+ She still has the most adorable crush on Ant, or at least on the Ant she remembers.
+ I heard some bad news about one of our other friends :(
+ I got to give good news on how everyone else is doing.
I feel old now :P
And I really want to talk to Mike but he's currently still dead according to Twitter. I think I might need to hire a necromancer, does anyone know where I can find one of those?

That's copied from my profile on the long-gone -:-X-Men:Evo-:- roleplay forum where I met the most amazing people I know! So, uh, I thought the anniversary was this week. It wasn't. It was the end of June. Not the beginning of July. Jez's memory fails, as usual.

But the point is, it's the 5 year anniversary! (No matter what Karina says.) In 2003 we shared a summer, and now we share our lives. I is cheezy.

So, a quick shout out to some of the amazing people I met through this site:
queenofspades89 - She is AWESOME. And hilarious. And a great friend. I love her! She's been one of my best friends for these 5 years now :D
bebrosis - He's AWESOME too. And just as hilarious, but usually in different ways. He's one of the world's best listeners and a world-class care..er. He's my other best friend :D
nina_tala - Kanti! She was like my big sister for a long time there :D Now she's like my big sister who went away to college or moved to Kentucky or something. I miss her, but I'm about to bug her via MSN. She's one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. I love her :D
darkqueen119 - Amber's fabulous. We may not always agree and sometimes get on each other's nerves, but she's still a good friend. I'll call her this week I think
charlieclemson - Uncle Cyke! He's great! I don't get to talk to him as much anymore (possibly because I don't have AIM?) but he's recently returned to LJ (in the last few months) so we're still kind of in touch. :D

Today after work I read through all the comics I still really wanted to read, now I just have my unknown/chance comics left. The Tiny Titans thing seriously was cracked out though. Amusing, but cracked out.
Runaways, as usual, was amazing. I like their art too.

I decided I'm going to make a Pixie layout soon, using the scans from the free comic book day issue all about Megan. But I'm still going to make the Monet one first, because M is the connection between X-Factor and GenX, so naturally, I love her XD Plus that picture was gorgeous.

TLS is back up today. Well, sort of. The site is relaunched, but nothing is on there yet, I just looked at it. No members, no boards, no posts. Nothing. It's quite depressing, actually. I do have the majority of Logan Season saved on my flash drive, but I just looked at it & I think it's missing the few newest posts. Nothing big though if I remember correctly, just "holy crap this is where you live? It's a school?! It's the biggest building I've ever seen in my life!!" Stuff like that.
And just because I've seen how easily things are lost (-:-X-Men:Evo-:-; TLS; etc) I'm updating my saved files of Logan's Run on ER & also I'm going to save the Spring Break thread. Teh crackfic has been saved since the beginning of it, and is completely updated, so I don't need to worry about that.

I also finished watching X2 today, which Christina bought for me for $5 at Wal-Mart last week (or was it the week before?). Ah, good stuff.
